Natural Flagstones
The client requested a natural, organic appearance for the patio, so we selected flat stones that vary in shape and size to emphasize an informal, landscape-inspired aesthetic. We meticulously planned the layout to allow the stones to interlock and stagger in a way that creates subtle movement and depth across the surface, rather than a rigid grid. Each flagstone was carefully positioned to maximize natural joints and align with the overall flow of the design, while maintaining even coverage and stability. This process fills the gaps (joints) between stones to provide stability, prevent weed growth, and create a finished look. To further soften the edges and reinforce the natural motif, we cut select stones to introduce gentle curves along all perimeters. This combination of varied stone shapes, intentional interlock, controlled jointing, and custom edge work results in a seamless, organic patio that blends with the surrounding landscape and offers enduring beauty and performance
